A comprehensive guide to setting up your mailings with templates and past campaigns
Creating effective mailings is easy with myRealPage’s variety of template options and access to your mailing history. Whether you want to start fresh with public templates, customize your own, or reuse previous mailings, this guide will walk you through every step to get your campaign launched quickly and confidently.
Step 1: Access Your Mailings Dashboard:
- A: Access your dashboard by navigating to the Marketing Tab
- B: Click on Mailings on the left hand menu bar.
- C: Click on New Mailing to create a new mailing from a template or from scratch.
- D: Click on New Template to start with basic elements and save to reuse at a later date.
- E: Click on Browse Designs to explore our library of email design templates.
Step 2: New Mailing:
After clicking on New Mailing, you will be presented with the following options. Choose accordingly:
- Public Templates: This will showcase all of our email design templates for you to choose from.
- My Template: This will showcase any templates you've already created to reuse.
- Previous Mailing: This will showcase any former emails you've sent.
- Basic Starter: This will give you a blank canvas to begin with with starter blocks to assemble your own mailing.
Step 3: Customize Your Template:
For your convenience, this part has been recorded for you to understand all the options and variables at your disposable. Please watch the following to get an understanding of how to edit and modify your mail out:
Step 4: Modify Your Subject Line and Test Email
- A) Subject Line: Choose your subject line that will appear in your recipient's inbox
- B) Template Variables: Click here to see a list of variables you can use inside of your subject line (for example, if you want a first name to appear in the subject line, you can use the variable inside the subject line). Note that the variables need to be wrapped in in order to work properly.
- C) Send Test: Click on the test option to send out a test email to yourself before sending it to your recipients.
- D) Next : Click on the next button to select your recipients.
Step 5: Choose Recipients:
- A) View Send To Recipients: This will allow you to preview who the recipients will be that the email will be sent to.
- B) Select Who You Will Send To: You can select here who you would like to send your contacts to between these three options:
- Send to all or some of my leads: This will automatically select all of your leads inside of your myRealPage Leads section. You can filter them by manually choosing your recipients below under "Add Filter" in C) below.
- Upload my own list of recipients: This will allow you to upload a CSV file of your own recipients to send the email to.
- Both: send to my leads and my own list: This will allow you to deliver your mail to both your leads currently in myRealPage alongside with the list you upload.
- C) Add Filter: For precise control over who you send the mail to, click on "Add Filter" to see the available options, which include filtering by manually selecting your contact, or by labels, source, and VOW Profile.
- Pro Tip: Marking your contacts first with specific tags like "Buyer" can allow you to send this mailing in bulk to all of your "Buyer" contacts.
- D) Next : Click on the next button to finish by scheduling or sending your mailout.
Step 6: Finish and Send or Schedule:
- A) Name: Give this mailing a descriptive name, not visible externally.
- B) Scheduling: Choose between one of these three options to schedule your newsletter. Keep as draft if you wish to continue it later. Schedule it for a later date and time, or send it now.
- C) Finish and Send: Once you're done, click on the button at the bottom to finalize your selection.
Congratulations! You've successfully completed sending or scheduling your first mailing.
