How Do I Create A Predefined Search With The Wordpress Plugin?

You can only generate codes for predefined searches one at a time. To add multiple predefined searches to your Wordpress post or page, you will have to generate separate codes for each search.

1 - On the page/post you want to add listings to:

  • A. On the text editor, make sure you are on the Visual tab.
  • B. In the toolbar, click on the small mRP Logo/icon.

2 - In the pop up log in window, if prompted:

  • A. Type in your Email Address.
  • B. Type in your Password.

3 - In the pop up:

  • A. Click on the Listing Groups tab.
  • B. Click on the Searches tab. 
  • C. Click on the +New Search link. This will open a pop up window.

4 - Creating Your New Predefined Search:

  • A. Select what type of search you would like to create.
  • B. Click on the Preview button to check which listings will be included in the predefined search.
  • C. Click on the Next button.

5 - Labeling your new search form:

  • A. Fill in the information requested.
  • B. Click on the Save button. This will close the pop up.

6 - Back at the first pop up:

  • A. Click on the Listing Groups tab.
  • B. Click on the Searches tab.
  • C. Locate the previously created predefined search that you would like to generate the codes for. Once you've located it, click on the Select>> link beside it.
  • D. Selected searches that will be included in the code will show up on the box on the right side.
  • E. Fine-tune how your search will look on your Wordpress site by using the options provided. Please note that these options will change, depending on whether you select the Standard version or the Responsive version.
  • F. You can check how your search will look on your Wordpress site by clicking on the Preview button.
  • G. Once you're done, click on the Generate Code button.

7 - In the shortcode pop up:

  • A. In the Embeddable Shortcode pop up window, copy all the code that has been generated.
  • B. Click on the Close button to close the pop up.
  • Return to the Wordpress post or page that you would like to add your predefined search to.

8 - Finishing Up:

  • A. In the WordPress Page or Post editor, click on the Text tab.
  • B. Paste the code that you have previously copied, into the text area. Proceed to edit your page or post as normal.
  • C. Once you're done, Publish/Update/Save Draft by clicking on the blue button.
